On Friday, February 14th, 1N5 conducted a self-care training session for the staff at Mason Middle School. Over 100 teachers gathered for the presentation, which discussed the importance of self-care and different ways to practice it.
The staff was given time to reflect and plan for ways to incorporate small acts of self-care into their days. Some favorites included starting to play ice hockey again, reading more, taking more naps, walking, talking with friends, cooking for fun rather than just to make meals, and taking deep breaths. The purpose of the training was to encourage staff to maintain self-care strategies they could implement into their daily lives.
