“I started 1N5 after losing my husband to suicide. This is a personal mission to normalize the conversation about mental health.”
– Nancy Eigel-Miller, Founder of 1N5
Who We Are
Our goal is to STOP the stigma and START the conversation by increasing awareness and education about mental health
1N5 is focused on making a difference in how we talk about mental health. Our youth are in crisis, with 20% of young people ages 13-18 living with a mental health condition. Through our core pillars of stigma reduction, policy & advocacy, community engagement, education & programming, and measurement & data, we aim to create strong communities that support optimal mental health for all. This year, we’ve supported 40 local schools and 5 universities, offering more than $350,000 in funding for local mental health education. On average, we engage with 20,000 community members each year.
Join us to STOP the stigma and START the conversation to enact positive changes within our communities. Let’s talk!
