Help promote optimal mental health for all through education, awareness, and stigma reduction
Job Description
The Office Manager supports the work of 1N5 in decreasing youth suicide, by managing the daily activity in the office and by acting as a resource for youth, school staff, parents, and caregivers on youth mental health.
Job Duties
- Manage day to day activity in the office
- Ensure adequate inventory of office supplies and mental health resources for programs that are delivered to schools, community groups and organizations
- Manage Interns (includes interviewing, hiring, scheduling, onboarding and facilitating/maintaining workflow)
- Managing external printing needs
- Aid in database maintenance
- Assist team members with 1N5 events in the community
- Assist in volunteer recruitment and management
- 1N5-branded promotional materials – researching, creating designs and ordering
- Will require working a few evenings and weekends monthly
- Perform other duties as assigned including tasks to assist the executive director and other staff members
- Keep track of all partner requests
- Keep supply room organized
- Oversee cleanliness of office (trash, recycling, vacuum)
- Assist with events
- Onboard new employees
- Organize and manage staff enrichment and recognition
Skills/Experiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
- Familiar with Airtable, Classy and/or Canva are a bonus
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and an eagerness to interact with all community members
- Collaborative and engaging team member
- Knowledgeable in technology and able to problem solve
- Ability to explain mental health and mental illness to a variety of populations varying in factors such as age, socioeconomic status, and knowledge level
- Professional judgment and discretion
- Ability to handle confidential information and situations
- Sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong work ethic and dedication to a team-based work environment
- A passion and interest for improving the state of youth mental health
Educational Background/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Social Sciences (e.g. public health, counseling, psychology, education, etc.)
