This week for #freeyourmindfriday, Tonyette White, a high school counselor, took over our Insta stories to talk about student mental health. Check out her bio below!
Hi! My name is Tonyette and I am a high school counselor in central Virginia. I attended the University of Virginia, and I graduated in 2013 with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and also in 2017 with my Master of Education in Counselor Education. While in undergrad, I discovered my passion for helping others through mentorship and advising opportunities. This eventually led to my serving in the Virginia College Advising Corps to provide college access to low income, underrepresented, and first-generation students. When I am not working towards closing the achievement gap, I am drinking coffee, writing, reading, styling clothes and hanging with friends!
