1N5 Partners with UC Student to Provide Chardi Kala Retreat

On Saturday, December 12th, 1N5 worked with UC student Karman Ghuman to hold the first Chardi Kala, a mental health retreat for Asian American youth. The two-hour retreat included a talk from Karman regarding the statistics about the incidences of mental illness in Asian youth, an art therapist, and a psychotherapist who talked about her own mental health journey. Thirty-five youth joined the retreat and engaged in a lively discussion about how mental health has impacted them. 1N5 will continue to work with the youth to provide relevant educational resources.
