1N5 Conducts School Trainings and Education

This was another busy week of training and mental health education for 1N5. On Monday, August 31st, 1N5 worked with Sycamore Community Schools to create an education plan covering trauma for the entire staff. Several members of the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at CCHMC provided training on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their effect on the brain, the trauma-informed classroom, and restorative practices for the classroom. 1N5’s Erin Horn also conducted a Sources of Strength and Educator Self-Care lunchtime session.

1N5 and MindPeace also provided four live webinars from the State of Mind Speaker Series, including Goodbye Stress for students, Managing Grief of Lost Experiences for caregivers, Grief and Loss During COVID for educators, and Quarantine Self-Care for students. The webinars reached over 1,500 people.

We look forward to providing more education and training in the coming weeks!
