This week for #freeyourmindfriday, Zoe Stoller, a writer + content creator, took over our Insta stories to talk about mental health. Check out Zoe’s bio below!
Hi! I’m Zoe, a writer and creator who is also a mental health warrior and a part of the LGBTQ+ community!
I was first diagnosed with depression and anxiety 5 years ago after I faced trauma and decided to start going to therapy. That was one of the most challenging years of my life, and I almost didn’t make it through. I felt truly alone and thought that people wouldn’t understand or would feel burdened by my sadness.
I’ve come a really far way since that time, and I’ve accomplished things that I never would have if I not held on in the toughest moments. This includes discovering my sexuality and gender, which are now such important parts of my identity!
I love to share openly about my experiences because I know there are so many others who have similar stories. And I believe that being authentic and talking about mental health—even when it’s challenging—can be an opportunity for us to all heal and grow together.
