Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart, PsyD, ABPP of A New Day Pediatric Psychology is back with a new video on taking care of your physical health alongside your mental health. She shares how the pandemic has impacted her daily movement, including little things like moving around between therapy sessions, getting up to walk down the hall, moving around her office, etc. Since she’s been working from home, she noticed how much more sedentary her work-life has become, and that sedentary life has taken a toll on her physical health. She compares that change to feeling stuck not only physically, but emotionally and psychologically. When we get stuck, we stop moving forward. We stop evolving and adapting. She suggests when we start feeling stuck, we get up and move, stretch, or do something new. Getting out of that comfortable, still place will help us move forward, adapt, and evolve.
