Dream Big, You Are Capable of Amazing Things

In a weird way, the pandemic has reignited my passion for my work. For a while, I was writing blog posts more as an obligation than as a desire to help others. I was in a slump, not feeling really positive or optimistic about the future. I know not everyone is in the same boat as me, but the pandemic gave me a huge boost in business and in motivation and allowed me to connect with so many wonderful students and student-athletes who have helped me to find my passion again.

If you had asked me in high school or even college if I would ever want to get into public speaking or start my own business, I would have ran away as soon as I could and probably told you that you were insane. It wasn’t until I found my worth, that I knew what I was capable of. It wasn’t until I began believing in myself, that things started falling into place for me. I had this dream of helping others and I had no idea how it was going to manifest, but I was going to work incredibly hard, until it came true.

So my message to you this week is to dream big. Dream so big that the dream may even feel impossible or out of reach. When we were children, we would dream about being astronauts, doctors, singers, professional athletes, and we made sure everyone knew about our dreams. As we grew up, self-doubt crept in, and fear of not being good enough kept us from going after those big dreams we had as children.

But if you allow that little voice that tells you that you can’t, win, you will never fully learn what you are capable of. What do you want in this life? What goal keeps coming back to you, no matter how many times you try and shake it? What are the dreams that get you giddy with excitement?

Take that risk and dream big, and then go after those dreams with everything you have within you. You are capable of more than you know. I never thought I would be living this big dream as I am now, and I am dreaming even bigger now and happy to say that I now fully believe in myself and know that I have the tools within me and around me to reach this dream.

It may take time, you may have let downs along the way, but you are worthy of reaching that dream. So keep going. Go after that dream, believe in yourself, and know that along the way you will continue to learn about yourself and grow into the person you were meant to be.

So dream big, take that risk, go after that dream, you may even surprise yourself of where you end up, and you will be so proud of yourself for believing in yourself every step of the way.

Own your voice. Own your power. You are capable of amazing things.

Xo,
